Chris and Jamie have played an incredible role in our marriage. Their wisdom stems directly from the Lord and their strong foundation of submitting their lives to him. They have encouraged us to put Christ first, and in doing so, everything will flow from him into all areas of our marriage. They reminded us that disagreements will always happen, however the key is how we navigate them – which will either bring us closer together or move us farther apart. I’m happy to say we have grown closer and stronger each year. Chris and Jamie have guided us to a stronger, healthier and more joyful marriage and we could not be more thankful!

There are probably hundreds of couples who could say that Chris and Jamie have blessed their marriage, but truly, we would not be here without the Herbs and their incredible wisdom. Chris and Jamie introduced us eleven years ago after pouring into each of us individually for a number of years. (Chris was a mentor for Jordan during his high school, college years, NFL career, and figuring out life after he played; Jamie poured into Tiffany after originally meeting through Young Life.) They faithfully walked alongside us as we navigated through the seasons of modern-day dating, engagement, marriage, life as newlyweds, high-pressure careers, having children, and maturing as people and in our relationship. Chris and Jamie have helped us in more ways than we can count and they continue to serve as a guidepost for us as we endeavor to build a Christ-centered marriage and family. In a world that is filled with shiny, but often superficial advice from self-proclaimed "experts", Chris and Jamie are the real deal. Their knowledge and wisdom comes from the Bible, from decades of intentionality in their own marriage, and from years of pouring into countless people. Chris and Jamie have celebrated with us during the highest points of our relationship and they have prayerfully walked us through the more vulnerable moments. Through it all, they have been a rock and a reminder of God's beautiful vision for marriage. We have seen firsthand that applying their practices and perspectives has helped us find more joy, peace, and alignment with each other. We trust Chris and Jamie and value their perspective because they practice what they preach. Their own marriage exemplifies love, maturity, joy, faith, consistency, and peace. For decades, they’ve been intentional to pursue one another, to walk humbly before God, to faithfully choose love—and their decisions, discipline, and wisdom have created a legacy that we believe everyone will benefit from!

Chris and Jamie have walked alongside us since our first year of dating! Once Ashley and I knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, we met with Chris and Jamie and talked about what a Christ centered marriage looks like. Through their guidance Ashley and I have been married going on 8 years, growing closer to the Lord and each other everyday. It’s truly the case when we say we fall more in love with the Lord and each other daily! We are so grateful for their guidance and friendship. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them!

Having Chris & Jamie in our corner has been a tremendous gift, going back more than 25 years for me. Their encouragement, support, wisdom and love have carried me when I needed it most, and they are the first text or call when I need prayer and wisdom. Chris and Jamie’s love for the Lord and for each other has always been a model for me of what’s possible when two people put Jesus first. Our marriage is better because of knowing them, and I am so grateful to call them mentors and friends.
